18x6W or 20x6 for 1.60 FX
I have burned about a gallon of Cool Power 15% through my new 1.60 FX. I have tested two possible props. An APC 18x6W and a Zinger Pro 20x6. Both props lift a couple ounces over 18lbs on my test bench. I tached the APC 18x6W at 9000 rpm, and the Zinger 20x6 at 7950 rpm. Both readings were peaked and backed off 100 rpm rich for flying. Which rpm range would best suit the engine for least wear and tear. I will have the engine mounted inverted with a Slimline inverted Pitts muffler. The entire cylinder will be fully exposed to the air stream as I have cut the bottom of the cowl away.

Aerosplat,
You can run the engine between 8,000 RPM and 9,000 RPM with few problems. We tend to prop it for the low- to mid-8,000's. 9,000 is a bit on the high side. It all depends upon how the model flies.
