Default 52 Surpass: Low end idle

Hi again Bax,

Got about 10 flights on the 4*40/52 Srpass and it;s a great combo. Now I'm starting to work on a reliable idle. I've got the carb barrel set to about 2mm like you suggested in an earlier thread but how do I know I've ogt a big enough opening vs. having the idle set too lean/rich?

Many thanks,

Steve

Default RE: 52 Surpass: Low end idle

You basically set the carb opening as small as possible, yet still giving you a reliable idle and acceleration. It's all a compromise. Change fuel type and/or prop size and you'll have to readjust.
