Default Removal of Gudgeon Pin

Hi there.
I am changing the bearings on an OS .48 FS Surpass. I have removed the nylon end pad but am having trouble removing the Gudgeon Pin. I have tried a piece of wood to withdraw the pin but this have not been successful. Is there any easy way of removing a stuck Gudgeon Pin short of cutting the conrod. I have done a number of engine rebuilds however this one is very stubborn.

thanks
Fred........

We've found that you can use a screw extractor to remove a stubborn wrist pin from the piston. Screw extractors are also known as "Easy Outs". It's made of hardened steel, so it will grip the hole in the wrist pin.
