Default OS 120 SE

I just purchased an OS 120 Surpass III non-pump and was wondering what the small nipple coming out of the bottom of the crankcase is used for or what if anything it should be connected to? Also, how far away can the fuel tank be placed away from this engine without reliability issues? The engine is going in a Top Flite P-40 so it won't see many acrobatic moves.

Thanks
D

The nipple on the bottom of the engine is the crankcase vent. Just use a piece of fuel tubing to route it out the bottom of the cowling.

As far as tank placement is concerned, you want it as close as possible to the engine. Just behind the firewall is ideal, with the centerline even with the high-speed needle or no more than 3/8" lower.
