O.S 18 tm trouble Please HELP!!!!
I have just brought a os 18 tm for my tmaxx because the trx 2.5 i had in it kept playing up all the time. I tryed everything i could think of to get the 2.5 to work but it kept hezatating and stalling. So i got fed up with it and got an os 18. But this engine is doing excactley the same thing that the 2.5 was doing. I have changed the fule tank and got new fule. I also made the needle settings really ritch.
The only thing i no that needs changing is the clutch because that has woren out but that wouldent make the engine`s go really lean and stall would it? This problem is soooooo anoying because i just cant find out what is makeing both of the engines do this.

If the engine hesitates when you try to throttle up, then the idle mixture's adjusted incorrectly. Usually, it's too rich. You may want to try leaning it a hair.
When the engine's properly broken-in, the high-speed needle will be set to a point rich of peak RPM. When you throttle up, the engine should accelerate and then hold. You don't want it to accelerate and then come down in RPM.
The idle mixture should be adjusted about as lean as possible without the engine hesitating when you throttle up. If the idle PRM is too high, the clutch will grab, and acceleratioin may stutter a bit. You'll also wear out clutches faster.
