Default Os 160

On a German forum a modeler that just received two OS160s from the USA is under the impression that there are 2 versions of the engine, an old and a new. He is not speaking of the FI version. He wants to know if this is true and if it is, he would like to know what the differences are. One of the engines has the letters SP stamped on one of the lugs. He would like to know the significance of this.

djlyon,

The O.S. Max 1.60 FX engine hasn't been changed at all since it was introduced. The letters stamped on the bottom of one of the mounting lugs just indicates a production batch.
