O.S Max 40 FSR - appears to have bent rod?
I have an O.S. MAX 40 FSR .. I have it disassembled for cleaning and new pinned ring. It appears that the Connecting Rod is Bent (very slight) foreward.. I wonder if it is designed that way as the engine has never had a reason to inflict such a reaction..

RE: O.S Max 40 FSR - appears to have bent rod?
I probably should clarify - -I should have used the word - Very slight barely noticeable curve or bow. Does anyone out there have one apart and could check theirs to see if this might be in the design. I could straighten it but would rather not until I know it is not the norm.. I have been down that road before -- think something needs tweeked to find out a day later it was supposed to be that way.. Fun-fuN!! Piperjak

Here's a recent thread on the subject piperjak. http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_36...tm.htm#3665039
Bottom line: not normal. I've done that myself a few times (re-engineer a project).
Mods, please delete. I didn't realize this was the O.S. support forum.

Bax, I agree,, I will probably just leave it alone - If I try to straighten it - I will end up just goofing something else up..
