Default OS 1.60FX, Enough Power?

Do you think the OS 1.60FX would be enough engine for the big Hangar 9 P-47 Arf? The plane should weigh around 17lbs.

Thanks,
Tony

What engine sizes are recommended for that model? We're not particularly familiar with it. Weight is not the only criterion as to whether an engine will fly a particlar model. On one particular engine, you can fly a Cub-type of model that's a lot heavier than a small-winged warbird, or even an aerobatic model. Likely, the 1.60-size engine is in the lower-end of the model's power range, so it will likely allow you to fly the model, but you won't necessarily have a fast or particularly aerobatic one.

I have seen moki 1.80s on 1/5 scale spitfires in the 17-19 lb range fly fine, so I would have to think it should be fine. however, that plane may need more nose weight than the 1.60 offers, making you add more weight to balance
