os 18 cv-rx normal wear???
Hi, I just finished break in on this engine, is it normal to see gray color area on the piston when viewed through the exhaust port? I only see this color on the portion of the piston that goes in the cylinder.

Usually, if the sides of the piston have developed a dull, dark gray color, it means that the engine has had some kind of abrasive material go through it...usually dirt. If the compression's still good, then the engine hasn't been abraded too much.
