newer carb
Mr. Baxter,
I had inherited a plane with an OS MAX .40 SR, which is apparently even older than the 'discontinued'
category on OS parts lists. The carb assembly was recemtly destroyed as a result of a 'one-point
landing'; (prop spinner). I can't find a parts reference at the OS site for this one; is there a current
carb assembly which would fit on and work for this older engine? [as an alternative use for OS engines, you
may like to know that a .40 SR, with 10X6 prop will slice an ear of corn cleanly in half - while still on
the stalk!]
Thanks

RE: newer carb
Thanks so much Mr. Baxter,
As close as I can estimate, the ID of the engine opening is 13mm.
I don't have a micrometer, but out of curiosity, I tried to test fit a carb from an old
OS 60 (carb marking7B?), and it is slightly wider than the opening on the 40SR.
Appreciate your help.
