Default 0.S 160FX FI

Hey Bill

I am gettin a 160FX FI for my spitfire, i have a slimline pitts style muffler for it, should i look at gettin a perry pump or will the pressure from the muffler be enough??

I have a sjpropo onboard glow system, that will supply power to the glow plug the whole time, is this ok??

Also i am thinking of using a DUBRO engine mount, the ones with the elastomeric to stop vibration, is this a good idea or not??

Regards Nic

You don't need to add a pump for the FI version, nor do you need to worry about muffler pressure. The FI versions have their own systems to get fuel delivered to the injector with the proper pressure. They pressurize the fuel tank.

Glow plug heat on all the time won't hurt anything, but it's best if it comes on only at 1/3 throttle or lower.

A 'soft' mount won't hurt anything, either.

Hey Bill

Thanks very much for that. The onboard glowunit is off at full throttle but then gradually comes on when you decrease the throttle. So i guess at half throttle that glow unit is at half power or round abouts that, is that ok?
