Default os fs 48 piston ring

Oh great Guhru of engines, where might I find a piston ring for a tired os fs 48? It runs very well but has low compression and does not like to idle at normal idle settings. with the trim all the way up and the stick at idle the atv setting is -36. I flew it today on my senior kadet in 15mph winds and it flew at a dead stop in front of me. too cool. put put put put....

The O.S. FS-48 Surpass was discontinued a decade ago. Parts production ended about 5 years ago. You'll have to either locate parts through the RCU Marketplace or other sales service on the 'net, or find one through one of the hobby retailers who advertise in the model magazines as selling parts to engine collectors.

You can also do a search for "Frank Bowman". We believe he's still making piston rings for engines out of production.
