Default Aquacraft 18 Engine - O.S.?

I am told that the Aquacraft marine 18 engine is made by O.S. but that the O.S. marine 18 develops more power - is that true? What are the differences?

Also, I see that the O.S. 18TZ-TX is not a marine engine but develops a lot of hp even compared to the 18CV-RMX - What are the differences?

Thanks

The tech notes for the AquaCraft .18 marine engine do state that it's made for them by O.S.

The O.S. TZ-series of R/C car engines is a racing engine. Differences in port timing, parts sizes, and so on all contribute to the engine's maximum power output. There are no specifics we can point you to, other than the engines you mentioned were all designed for different purposes.

Is there a replacement needle or needle valve assembly that will allow for 3rd channel r/c control for the O.S. .18?

If you are talking about using a 3rd channel to control the mixture, then no. O.S. does not have a needle valve that can be servo-controlled. You can, though, make one by removing the spring from your needle valve, and putting a throttle arm on it. You'd have to figure a way to adjust the needle to get it close to where the servo can make small adjustments, though.
