Default OS 91 Prop Size w/ large spinner

Hi Everyone!

I'm about to build a fantasy racer that I scaled up from a free-flight design, designed around the OS 91 FX. The problem is I have to use a 4.5 inch spinner--so what prop should I use? A 13x8 or 13x9? Or bigger?

Thanks,
Nathaniel

Use the propeller that will correctly fly the airplane. You NEVER size a propeller by the spinner size you're going to use. The propeller must be matched to the engine/airframe combination so that the model has the desired flight performance.

With any propeller, the very inside doesn't do much to help fly the airplane, anyway, so a spinner that has a diameter of 1/4 or less of the propeller diameter isn't going to cause much of a problem.

Well, I decided to go with the 13x8, I'll see how that works. Thanks!
