OWB slipping on CVR-X .15 Thoughts?
Hey there, I have a CVR-X and I'm having trouble starting the engine. The OWB is slipping when I pull the starter. Eventually, I can get one or two good pulls and get the engine started, however I'm talking about 10 minutes of pulling. Now once the engine is nice an hot, if say I kill the engine and want to chane tires or something, the OWB holds firm and its one pull to start.
I have pulled the OWB off a couple times, and soaked it in IPA (isopropyl) to no avail. To add to this, if I pull the starter very slowly the OWB will hold (this is how I'm able to prime the engine), but when that engine is cold and I start to pull it quickly is just gives and slips.
I am running wildcat 20% nitro fuel, not sure of the oil content, the jug is at home.
I have considered getting a new OWB and recoil starter but I just don't want the problem to reoccur. I have a starter box that I need a charger for, but I really like the convenience of the pull start.
Any help you can give me would be tremendous. Thank you in advance...

Usually, the one-way bearing will slip because it gets dirty. You may want to use a good solvent that will actually dissolve fuel residue and help remove other types of dirt. The product you're using may not help. We us a good-quality degreaser. If it's seen quite a bit of use, then it may be worn and need to be replaced.

10-4 thank you for the help. I will probably go ahead and replace it as I do not know the complete history of my truck. I will then keep it clean with a good degreaser.
Thanks
