i am flying an Extra300s .46 size but using .61fx OS engine...

what propeller should i use? currently i am using master airscrew 1280....do you think its too big??

i bought a APC 12x6...but when i measure...both are same size....i need some advice for what type of proppeller should i use...

OR for this 1280 master airscrew is fine?

On the O.S. Max .61 FX engine, we prop it to turn in the mid-to-high-12,000's. This means a 12 x 6 or 11 x 7 prop or so...that's for most "normal" flying. for specialized flying, maybe a 13 x 5 or 14 x 4 might work. You just have to try and see.

The main thing is tune for the RPM first, and then see how the airplane flies. We can't give you a specific propeller because prop choice is as heavily dependent upon the airframe and flying style as the engine it's used on. You DO want to make sure the engine turns in the high 12's on the ground when leaned to just rich of peak RPM. That's the most important thing....get the engine running where it belongs and then see how that prop flies the airplane.

actually the airplane flies well....just i feel is difficult to take off...the feeling is the airplane is little heavy...as the CG is unbalance...i put some weight at the back around 150g of weight to balance it.

anyway...i just ask if 12x6 prop is the correct one...so i got the answer now....by the way specialised flying means what??
