O.S. 61RF-P with os header & os tunepipe
Hi everyone, I need help!!! Ihave just got a sec/hand 61rf-p with what appears to be a 72101240 header and a 72101110 tunepipe. At the moment I have got a 12-11 apc prop on it with a piece of 20mm tube about 160mm long between the header & pipe. All new fuel lines, tank and fuel, tacho it at 9300rpm at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle but cant get it to run at full throttle. I need help with prop size and pipe length and where to measure the measurements.
Any help would be appreciated.

Michael,
The O.S. Max .61 SF-P wasn't really designed to turn as low as you're turning it. We normally propped them to turn in the mid- to high-11,000's. We used a 12x8 prop.
For RPM as low as you're turning, the O.S. Max .61 RF Hanno was the one designed for such low RPM.
Turning the engine too slowly would be the source of your difficulties.

Thanks for the help Bill,
It was a matter of pipe length, and seems to be running OK for now.
