My friend gave me an old os 35 engine. The one with the strap on muffler. I'm putting it back together and need some help. First, the piston has a raised area that runs across the top. does this face toward the muffler or the other side? Also, the cylinder sleeve has two openings. One is a little higher than the other. Which side faces which way? Any info would help...thanks

The higher ports in the cylinder sleeve are the exhaust ports. Center them with the port in the crankcase.

The baffle on the piston goes AWAY from the exhaust port.
