.21 Vspec break in.. No, first time starting...?
Man.. I installed the .21 vspec and Dynamite pipe (DYNP5003) in my new 8eight t and boy is she tight... My Dynamite Universal High-Toque starter refuse to turn her, get stuck in tdc and requires some pliers to turn. I even loosen the plug a bit but she obviously not getting stuck from compression! I don't have a heat gun, will a hair dryer work? How warm must I make the engine before attempting to start? Any other ideas?

A hair dryer may help. We don't have a specific temperature to suggest. Sometimes, you can get the engine to fire by flicking the flywheel backwards against compression. If the engine's properly-primed, it will fire and go forward fast enough to keep running.

RE: .21 Vspec break in.. No, first time starting...?
Thank you. I had to buy a gun eventually to get her going. The starter box that the hobby shop said would work, make above, is not best suited for this car. Basically had to strip all the bits and pieces and hard wired to get the wheels to hardly make contact... Now it a mission to line up the wheels.. Anyway, got three tanks though her and with still had to use the gun on the third tank. Hopefully things will go better and she will loosen up some because with this box it’s a mission. No wonder Losi is building a box specifically for this car....
