RE: 0%nitro for OS120AX?
To enlarge the Question coverage:
With what kind of Oil ? Is it OK to go for Castor, and if no why ?
Which Glow-plug. should be that a warmer one like A3, even the 4Stroke plug?
And if still there isn't detonation shall we take out the shim under the head ?
Well, all in the pursue of Higher Power at Lower Fuel Cost (Nitro is expensive and corrosive) I believe.
Of course with precasion that we will wash the engine at the end of the flying day burning one tank
with synthetic oil 1:3 methanol to avoid the corrosion which starts if castor was not washed away.
Are thos things different for OS.91FX and as well for BGX-1 ?

You can sucessfully run fuels with nitro content from 5% to 15% with little difficulty. If you are using 0%-5% nitro fuel, then the O.S. #A3 plug may be the best one. Otherwise, use a #8 glow plug. Either one will work well. You just have to see which one works best.
You should not have to adjust the cylinder head gasket thickness unless you are going to be using fuel with a nitro content above 15%.
For oil, you can use any of the commonly-used oils in model fuels. Castor, synthetic...it makes little difference because this is a ringed engine and you need only be concerned that you have enough. With the conventional model oils, you want no less than 20% by volume. This is all covered in the instruction manual.
