Good Day Sir..

I have an OS 160 Twin, The prop range in the manual is pretty wide.. 16 x 8 to a 20 x 6.. Yikes. I would like to use a three blade prop in an 8 inch pitch could you let me know what diameter I should go to run it in the 8500 RPM range? Thanks in advance. I am not familiare with the performance of this engine yet.

All the best and thanks in advnace..

We'd not know what 3-blade prop will turn the RPM you're asking. Usually, you'd keep the same pitch as a 2-blader, and go down one inch or so in diameter, sometimes a little more, and you'll have about the same load. Unfortunately, there are rarely any propellers that will work out.

If you want a 3-blade prop for looks, then put one on when the model's being displayed. A 2-blade prop is better for flying.
