Default 4 stroke 70 OS

I have a OS 70 4 stroke that has been doing OK for a couple of years.
I have been using 15% Wildcat Ext.
I have checked the fuel lines and tank, and carb fittings.
I have tried a needle valve from another engine.
The engine runs pretty good with the needle valve screwed all the way in.
It does not seem to be running lean, and if I richen it does loose power.

I have other OS 4 stokes and they are fine.

It sounds like the needle seat in the carb body has been damaged. It's likely that you'll need to replace the carburetor body and the needle.

Take a look at the needle. Chances are that you'll find a polished area on the tapered point that shows where the needle has been possibly over-tightened at one time. That will expand the needle seat in the carb body.

Needles should never be tightened, just gently turned in until you feel them close.
