46FX suddenly dies?
My engine has about 6 tanks of fuel through it, and today after flying it about 6 or 7 mins, it died after bringing the throttle back to about 1/3rd and had to do a deadstick landing. This has never happened before so I am wondering whats up with it now all of a sudden?
#8 glow plug
10% nitro with 18% oil
wing and tail get plenty wet with oil so I dont think its to lean.
transition is fair to good I would say. but could be better.
Any help with this one?

46FX suddenly dies?
I have replaced everything except the engine, and it is sucking air into the fuel line, could I have gotten a bad needle valve assembly so how? I remember it having air bubbles before but not like it is now....just a couple now and then on throttle up, then they would go away, now they are there all the time and even worse.
If the needle valve assy is the culprit whats the best way to solve the issue? Through my local hobby store where it was bought?

46FX suddenly dies?
I just pulled the engine and put it on the test stand and its still sucking air........pulled the needle valve and coated it with vasaline and tried it again.........still pulling air but barely...
runs much better at the moment.
I think I have a bad needle valve, or o-ring, or both. hope the houseing is good.

Same here!
2 ships. 2 OS motors, each has had only 2 gals fuel through them, both now run 2 minutes then stop. More main needle then each chokes and wont run, less needle then will spool up but each stops suddenly after 2 min. Clean fuel systems, new glows. Frustrated, times 2! Let me know what you find and I will do the same. It has to be needle settings.

Notice how the nipples are threaded onto the needle valve assembly?
I found that mine come loose every handful of flights..
Grab some needlenose pliers and tighten those babies down!
You didn't mention if the bubbles are there before the needle valve? If they are, its a tank issue, if they aren't its a needlevalve issue.
Good luck,
