ft300 connecting rods

I have a question about the way the connecting rods face in a FT300 twin the oil hole in the con rod face to the front or the rear?

RE: ft300 connecting rods

From our parts diagrams, there's a small 'tick' mark on the rod and lower rod cap. These face the front of the engine.
