To turn higher RPM, you'll need a propeller with either a smaller diameter or less pitch. The 16 x 12 prop is very large in pitch, which will slow your engine.

Select a propeller that will allow your engine to turn around 8,000-8,500 RPM at full throttle on the ground when leaned to just rich of peak RPM. If the propeller will allow your airplane to fly the way you desire, then it's the correct propeller, otherwise try different propellers that will give you the same RPM.

Remember, O.S. chooses propellers that will work on the engine and still have very, very low noise. Noise is very strictly regulated at most Japanese flying clubs, and O.S. suggests propellers for maximum noise reduction and not necessarily best power output. To make a plane fly better at the low RPM you get with a low-noise prop, you need to make the plane lighter.

Ken Cz , yours is Pump version ?

Bax , if that is the fact ...... than the os200 is not likely for pattern flying . . . . !![&o]

Again, if you want the engine to turn higher RPM, you'll need to select a propeller that will allow the engine to do so. You'll have to work with different propellers to see what works best for your airplane/engine combination.

There is something wrong in your engine, maybe a leaking valve ?

My FS-200S with Perry oscillating pump and Hatori exhaust is turning APC 16x12 7800rpm with 30% nitro. This is the combination i'm running now in my 2m pattern plane.
