OS Gemini 160 twin 4 stroke
I have an older Gemini 160 twin with the older air bleed type of carb.
I have set up the low speed needle in the middle of the orfice as per instructions and adjusted the high speed,
However the engine produces a large amount of slime covering the aircraft, the same goes for the discharge from the crankase vent. If you place your hand near the muffler it becomes wet very quickly . Also produces a lot of smoke.
The engine seems to go through a large amount of fuel- it would appear largely unburnt.
I have put in new plugs.
Is this the norm for this engine. I have other 4 strokes and do not have this problem
Any help appreciated
Thanks

At full throttle, when the engine's leaned to just rich of peak RPM, you'll get a lot of oil thrown out of the exhaust and through the crankcase vent. That's normal. That's because the oil is not burned. It's also a large engine that will use a lot of fuel, meaning that a lot of oil will also go through it. In your model's case, the exhaust outlets and the airflow around the airplane are such that more oil is getting onto the airframe than you've been used to seeing. There's nothing wrong with that. As long as the engine's running well, just get some extra rags.
