After-Run Oil Chemical Question

<p style="margin-bottom: 0in">You did a wonderful job answering almost all my after-run questions in your post. O.S. Engine After-Run Recommendations but I was wondering what Chemical is in the after-run or any oil that can damage the o-rings.</p>

Petroleum products will damage the o-rings in engines designed to run on methanol (alcohol) fuels.
