looking for a parts soource, OS .91 surpass II

Hi,

broke the exhaust valve spring on my OS .91 Surpass II (with pump) and need a new one. local supplier can't source one. Any reccomendations on a good service place with older parts?

Here are the stock numbers and list prices of the parts you asked about:

OSMG9241 45960210 VLV SPRNG FS70 91SII US$3.29

These parts can be ordered through any hobby retailer who sells O.S. Max engines and accessories.

Hi Bax,

Thanks for the reply. I have the numbers. (You supplied the numbers for the .70, not the .91 I have. I'm looking for OS p/n: 4596 0200 (OSMG9242) or the documentation I have is wrong..) I've contacted Hobbico & OS Engine looking for a possible supplier; US or Canada I don't care. And so far, no response from either Hobbico or OS Engine.

I'm here hoping for a list of possible suppliers I can contact, suggestions for large shops that might have one or two in stock.. I've gone thru 4 suppliers in the greater Montreal Area, but no luck. They are all "OS Engine Dealers" and I assume get all their parts from the same distributor. I kinda figure there's a shop in southern California that has a large selection of spare parts. But I have no idea how to search for such a place.. I would also think that Hobbico or OS Engine would be able to suggest a place that they know carries a lot of stock..

Looks like I'm blindly calling hobby shops.

The part number I gave you is what O.S. uses. That spring is for the FS-70 Surpass and the FS-91 Surpass II. It's correct for your engine. The part numbers can change over time.

Any hobby retailer who sells O.S. engines can order the parts from Great Planes Model Distributors, who imports O.S. engines and accessories into North America. Parts are usually not stocked by retail hobby shops, but ordered upon request. That part is a current one and also is in stock at Great Planes.

You'll not get a reply to your email to Hobbico because I saw your request here. I take care of the Engine Support questions when you email to Hobbico.

Perfect!!

OK, thank you BAX, I will try that new Number. My suppler tried the number I had with no luck. I guess I kinda figured that with the old number, he would have gotten a "that number is discontinued, use number XXXX"

thanks again!

(Sorry if I came across as rude. Was not the intent..)
