Dr. Strangelove
Airplane!

Oh, and Hot Shots is a way better movie than Top Gun.

You wont get any arguments from me there. Hotshots 1 and 2!! My 8 year old loves it - but wife won't watch it.

How about on oldie but goodie, "AIRPORT"
The one I won't watch is "Airport 77". Just too much wrong with that movie. Kind of like Top Gun, those of us that were involved with Naval Aviation know how bad that movie was.

The remake of “Ben Hur” is much better than the Charlton Heston version because the title character is more appealing in the new film. Watch carefully how often Heston is arrogant, violent and how often he kills or injures people (the Roman guards during his escape attempt, the slave driver on the galley, pirates in the sea battle). The new Ben Hur is gentler, more humble and a lot less murderous.

For me, it's The Day After Tomorrow (2004) and Sam Raimi's Spider-man 2. The first one was okay, the third one was awful, but I thought the 2nd was fantastic.

Given that "Gone Girl" is a suspenseful thriller that casts doubt on people's motivations and emphasizes the gloomy aspects of romance, it shares "Yours" tone and aesthetic.

Good input.... although at least around me, I've heard many people that maybe didn't love but liked (and definitely not hate) that movie. Maybe it's because it was around college time when the movie came out and almost unanimously everyone wanted to see it and I don't remember ppl saying they hated it. Hmmm maybe since then, now many of them changed their views.
