A few. The Ford Model Boat Club around the Dearborn area that holds races in Sumpter Township, the Oakland Wolverine MBC in Rochester Hills, the Saginaw Bay MBC just west of town, the Buoy Blasters a little further north in Shelby Township (a new club). Also the Transom Twisters out of Warren which I think are now holding races over in London, Ontario that used to hold them at the GM Tech Center.
There are a few more on www.impba.net . Go to District 2 from the clubs and districts.
I wouldn't call them popular but all have a great bunch of people in them.
If you need further help, I know a few of them in almost every club.
