Default RE: buying a new one

I have a 02 YZF 426 all stock its the last year they made the 426 before they went to the 450 and it is faster than a newer 250 and my friend has a 04-05 CR 250 fmf pipe and silencer v force reed valve and mines faster, if you dont mind spending a little extra money get the a 450 the only thing is the lack of your dirt bike experience and the power of a 450 but for a newer rider I think a 450 would be easier to ride than a 250. My bro has a 06 CRF 450 with a white brothers carbon fiber exhaust and rejeted carb and his bike pulls crazy hard. If you would be interested in a bike with a light and electric start the CRF450X is a 450 frame gearing setup more for desert trail ridding with a little less power, stock the 450x is pretty poor in power because the the factory sets the jetting really lean for smog reasons I think, but pull the baffel out and rejet carb its not to bad of a bike, probably close to the power if not the same as a 250

Honda makes a CR500 in the 450 frame, I have never rode one but talked to a guy that had one and and he said it was nuts more power than a man needs. But if you want a 2 stroke stick with a 250. You can get a aftermarket pipe and silencer for more power and a V force reed valve helps two.

Your questions are starting to be a joke, it doesnt sound like your interested in getting into riding but finding a motor for something to put it in. A 250 already has too much power for you stick with that

fastguy - why don't you just stick a 1200cc streetbike engine in a dirtbike frame and run that on NOS...like the hillclimbers do!

It kind of sounds like you want to be the guy with the fastest dirtbike on the block. I thought you were a beginner... 500cc's of 2stroke power will be way to much if you are learning.

I ridden new 450s befor and they have plenty of power for me, and I love lots of power, and im 19 and have been riding since I could walk, I dont even think I would want a 500 it would seem like there would be more power than you would be able to use. You will only get hurt on a 500, my friends friend got into riding and then his dad bought a bike and it was a 250 he only rode street bikes when he was young and after a few trips ended up getting on the throttle to hard and he wheelied and then flipped it and dislocated his hip, so we popped it back in and he was good to go, so you think you need the biggest badest thing until your in the hospital

I believe this guy is 14 years old. A 250cc (2 stroke) is a ton of power for me and I'm also 19. If he could reach everything on a 125cc bike, thats what I would choose. When I was 14 a done up 80cc was absolutely perfect.

Fastguy if you are 14 you will need to go with a 125. When I was 14 I just got my 426 and befor that was a kx80, but you will need to start out on something with a little less power.

Good luck, the bike you need is a 125 but dont listen to me, I have only been riding my whole life, if you do get a 250 or 500 be sure to get a bunch of spark plugs because you will foul a lot of them. How did you buy that pit bike, did you get a pink slip with it, because 50 bucks, it sounds stollen to me.
