i would think so, car engines are cooled via airflow...so it should be the same in a boat

I have three thundertigers.21s comming and there car motor,Hey I'd got them for 15 dollars from ebay.Hay if one is good then I'd did good in getting them.,Also I'm planning to run a.28 or.32 ofna motor in my boat when I get it. Aslong as you got good air flow it should work,But I'm going to fab a cooling tube around acouple of fins on the head for extra cooling.[8D]

No problem as they'll get more air than being stuck under a Lexan body. They may get too much as the air close to the water is cooler than a dusty track.

Bob Kensill was doing some work with a .28 in a mono and was getting some awesome speeds out of it. I can't remember the speeds or which .28 that he was using off-hand as it was a good year or so ago that he was messing with it.

im also wondering , if i should put a more of a torque engine in it or more of a hi rpm engine it , all my experience is with large scale stuff , my reasoning is i know these plow the water alot under low speeds and in the turns a bit , so im wondering about the engine .

The higher the rpms=faster speeds you'll get. That what I only want from a motor that have 2.0 hp or more and rpm at top ends out at 38.000-40.000.[8D]
