LOL! I saw this one already! When I saw your post I knew you had to be talking about this boat.

I sent the seller an email and called him on his bluff. I'd be aware of people on ebay with low feedback promoting false info like this. A year and a half ago when i was completly new to rc, I bought a boat that is not capable of 40 mph stock speeds. Then I didn't know anything about boats. I never got my boat and the seller took the money and ran. Luckly I was insured by pay pal. Since then the seller is kicked off ebay and i had him killed[>:] (just joking on the last part). But, I noticed that almost everytime I see a false claim like this they have a low feedback. So, watch out and I wouldn't even touch this one even if he fixes his mistake.

In fact after the last boat i bought off ebay which the seller is giving me money back on I would be very careful what you buy because it's worth it to buy it new. Depending on the deal.

Did you see were you could get the parts at?

This a joke and i'm not sure if there is an easy way to notify ebay on this and how would they know what the boat capabilities are to do anything about the false claim.

It can be done !!! Really !!!

You just mount 36" long pontoons about 12" out on each side of the boat, then use the propeller set up from a trolling motor...

Im sorry, I just couldnt resist

Well, guess what? [OK, you ask "what?" here] It looks exactly like the one sitting in my basement and if his does 65, mine will do 90!
Somewhere there is this thing called an eBay speed factor that is at least 1.5 times the normal MPH but there are other factors that apply depending on how deep the bull is. If it requires the use of wading boots, the factor goes higher. This auction still hasn't beat the 70 MPH Radio Shack boat or the 200 MPH Prather 3.5 OB 'rigger that had a special floatation material called micro balloons. This stuff is too funny as I couldn't make this up.
Sean, nice reply that you got there bud! So he's gonna drop a big old gasser into that baby huh?
Boy, if it weren't for the site rules I'd sure like to type more! Been racing for 10 years huh? OK........

Okay there is another Green nitro sv just up for sale claiming brand new when the hull looks dirty. I don't think it's the same one. He
also states "I know that it has a top speed of 45 mph.". He said he paid 400 and staring bid is a wopping 200$ lol! I'm curious if it might be the same boat. I have heard of people bidding to raise the price and so on and maybe the boat did not sell and is know relisted under someone else. Or maybe it's just another idiot, but this iritates me with these false claims and prices. Sounds sketchy to me...

Kind of funny also the new green sv nitro 27 boat was listed shortly after the other one sold, has one similar marking and the only difference is tubing and a couple stickers.

Can't tell for sure if there the same, but I would stay away from this one!

Mine was radared at 38.6 with a fat needle on only it's third tank of fuel. With the stock engine and every prop that I've tried I know that it won't hit anywhere near 65 MPH. It's a whole new ballgame at those speeds.

i got a better way to get a sv 27 to do 65 mph, find a formula or a scarab or another fast boat, tie a string to the stern and tie the other end of the string to the SV, now hit the throttle and watch the your boat dissintegrate before your very eyes as it beats multiple records. ha ha ha ha
