Show Off Your Ride!!!
Just thought it would be interesting to see everyone's ride, whether it would be a daily driver or a summer sports car.
About 5 months ago I made my first large purchase to replace my first car. Unfortuneately due to high fuel costs and rediculous insurance rates, (students) I was forced to buy a small economy car. I drive about 500-700km per week.
My first car was a 1989 Toyota Camry. It was pretty much stock, 2.0L 4 cyl, 4 spd auto, blue on blue, 230 000km and did not attract the ladies. It got a calculated 23/29mpg city/highway. Insurance costs were about $310 per month or $3720 per year.
My current car is a 2004 Toyota Corolla CE. It is 1.8L 4 cyl, 5 spd std, grey on grey, 90 000km as of now and does not attract the ladies. It has a nice aftermarket sound system with some thumpy bass. It get's an amazing calculated 35/44mpg city/highway. I'm currently averaging about 41mpg from purchase date. Insurance costs are a rediculous $410 per month or $4920 per year.
EDIT: For some reason photos do not want to display properly so they had to be shrunk to a very small size. Even then they do not display properly. [sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

Nice photos guys!
Hey QS, what happened to your other car? I believe I read somewhere that the engine did not like a certain piston or something.[X(]
What are the specs on that Acura?

This is my 1990 Peugeot 205GTI , originaly a 1.6i, but that was a bit slow for me (still an amazing handlling FWD car though!)
so I added a 2.0L 8v Turbo engine to it, engine came from a peugeot 406!
Currently ECU chipped to just under 200bhp and 220lb/ft of torque running 1bar of boost, as you can imagine it's rather rapid
only weighing 900kg, and goes round corners like its on rails.
It is my daily driver & summer sports car rolled into one

The Acura is a 97', has a 200hp 3.0L Vtec V6. Weighs a bit much at 3200lbs. Does 0-60 in 7.x sec. 1/4 mile at about 15.x sec. Not a race car, but definitely moves. I just swapped out a bunch of lights yesterday for LED's and made up a SRI, sounds great now.
BTW, Sweet NSX! edit; man! and a sweet M3, you've got the best of both worlds. and also are you on acurazine?

RE: Show Off Your Ride!!!
Got two 1:1 toys besides all the r/c's probably much to my wife's dismay [:-] Both of these are strictly toys, not drivers:
01' Sahara Wrangler- 3.5" Tera lift, Detroit locked Dana 44 rear, Superior forged axle shafts, homemade rocksliders/skidplates/armor, Ramsey 8500lb winch, Optima yellow top battery, Rubicon Express track bar, 3" mandrel bent exhaust/Flowmaster 40 series, 35x12.50 BFG Mud Terrains on black steelies...
And here's the "fast" one:
86' Ford Thunderbird- 400hp balanced and blueprinted 306 small block (way too much stuff to list), C6 manual valve body auto, 8.8" Turbo Coupe disc brake rear axle with Auburn Pro Posi, 4:10 gears. Full set of Autometer guages, B&M Z-gate shifter. Set up for auto-cross- has full Griggs tubular suspension and 600lb Motorsport "C" springs... this vehicle can and does pull 1+ lateral g.
Enjoy!

[8D] took 1st place (B-Body mod.)at the All Mopar Spring Round-Up,Carnation,WA.(1st show i entered it in,cuz I was too leery parking it in the lot)....never ran it at the track, no need to, but the smile comes off my face at 140mph... in storage now in Bremerton,WA. waiting for my return/retirement later this year... Nice ride mopartybob.[8D] I saw a pic of your charger in your profile before but didn't know it was that beefed up! And congrads on the first place. I recently went for a ride around the neighborhood with a neighbor in an old Nova and he really opened it up. Nothing beats the smell of burning rubber and smoke(tires) in the rear view mirror. And the sound the engines make and the smell of the fumes is just awesome. Classics rock[sm=thumbup.gif]
