Meh... nascar has basically become a reality show. Track politics effect the outcome of the race more than anything.

Yeah way too much like a reality show. The actual motorsports aspect of it seems to have taken a back seat to drama.

I am a big fan. I think that Denny is going to take it this year. I hope so. I mean I like Jimmy and all but it would be good for racing if he doesn't win this year.

I go to at least one Cup race a year and many more weeks of Nascar sanctioned events (local races). I don't really see how people relate it to reality tv. this is not scripted. You cannot say what is going to happen going 190 mph 3 wide around the track. This year has been better in terms of the actual racing. They are letting them rub again and it is making for some good racing. It should be very interesting this weekend. I really don't think Jimmy is going to take it, however, if i was a betting man I would probably have to put some down on him. He is that good.

ya THEY are that good ( lowes 48 team) i only say that cause it take the whole team to win.
but as much as i would like to see history take place with a first person to ever win five in a row
i hope denny hamlin wins sunday !! it about time for someone else to take the champion spot !!!!

No,but close! In the U.S.,racing is not like in other countries.F-1 drivers are house hold names, without the antics.Racing is still not one of the top sports here.

now i could go for the 14 winning the championship !!!
wouldnt be the first time for him but would be as a team owner .
kinda crazy that he can take a hendrick chassis and do pretty well
but the 88 can seem to buy a break, even in a hendrick chassis.
just goes to show its not about the driver , but more about the team !!!!!!!

Meh... nascar has basically become a reality show. Track politics effect the outcome of the race more than anything.
It's become that way because the actual racing is becoming boring, its all left turn and the occasional wreck.
To help pump up ratings, the politics and drama are now becoming exposed to light.
Sad, because this sort of S*** used to be hidden, now they are starting to air it and even expose it for the commercialization factor.

I think people need to start watching again... they are getting away from the drama and back to the racing. most of last year and all of this year has been great. The finishes they have had at the super speedways have been epic and the short track racing has been great as well. I love that they are letting the boys have at it to a point. Man racing is great.
