Careers? what do you all do for work?
Just curious what my fellow RCUers do for a living.
I have 2 jobs. For the first one I'm an Art consultant and dealer, basically I match clients and collectors with sellers of fine art and furniture. The second is pretty new, I work in the marketing department of a property services company. We do commercial and retail leasing for shopping centers and downtowns.

I'm a welder. Certified TIG, AWS d17.1 standard, and a few other AOS certs. Currently working at a company that manufactures parts for various government defense companies/contractors. I weld stainless, aluminum, titanium, inconel, hastelloy (c and x through w class), and some "macro alloys".

NPI (New Product Introduction) Engineer. It's a pretty unique position that I have held for the last 10 years for about 5 different companies. I spend about 10% of time on electronic/mechanical design, 25% on documentation (acceptance test plans, test reports, etc.), 25% on production test fixture design & automation (CNC, fabrication, LabView), 20% on pre-production testing and training (before I throw over fence to contract manufacturer), 5% program management, 5% RCUniverse, 5% field trials/testing, and 5% customer acceptance testing. I have worked for companies as large as Intel and as small as 5 people.

I went thru full courses on this, and honestly, I DONT miss it when the conversational controls phased out the G code at the shop I worked at! Thank you Accu-Rite!!!

I do maintenance at a hotel next to downtown disney. The place is pushinlg 40 years old and falling apart .
I made a mistake and told them I was a welder and pipe fitter. Now i get large projects to do and no time to do them because of guest calls and idiot contractors breaking things like fire srinklers.
I LOVE my job
