Well apparently some here didn't get the hint when Foxy removed posts and then warned the thread, and then when Minnflyer removed posts and then warned the thread. So let me say it a little clearer here. RCU is not the place for politics or political commentary. It's stated clearly in our rules it will be enforced. For those that think that they are above the rules and keep trying to post politics here, let me tell you a little secret. We're not going to lock down this thread simply because a few people can't understand and follow our rules. If they continue to try and post I will deal with them on an individual basis. Let this stand as a group warning to all those they keep trying to post about politics, or other topics not allowed in the RCU Community Rules, if they continue to post they will face administrative actions.
I'm sorry that I had to make such a post here in the open forum, but unfortunately some people here just can't follow instructions.

RE: what are you scared of?
I am scared that my wife is going to find out that I have ordered another plane and engine. Came home early in hopes it would arrive today but it didn't happen. Looks like it will hit the fan tomorrow. I think next time I will just go ahead and order 4 or 5 and be done with it. 4 or 5 more and I think I will have the hangar full. Then I guess I will need to learn to fly something besides a sim.

Edges. Heights don't bother me but edges scare the crap out of me.
Dying. After my second near-death experience (just got out of the hospital a week ago) the thought of dying is way less than pleasant.
Too much water, not enough float. In other words, drowning.

I have a question. How do you become a moderator?
I have a question. How do you become a moderator?
When RCU is in need of moderators, they put out a general notice. People apply, and the names are discussed among the present mods.
Unfortunately, we already have a list of names that we are working with, however, for future reference, we look for people who spend way too much time on RCU and who are very helpful.

Why is this one hard to do at your age, you're 21? If you can't afford school find a school that pays for itself, by working for them, that's what I did.

then need to find a way to become a automotive engineer before i die.
both are EXTREAMLY difficult things to do in my age and class. but you know what? someone is looking after me, and it will be ok.

RE: what are you scared of?
not so much just regular old drowning for me. i can swim good, i scuba dive and snorkel, i surf, i kyak, but running out of air/ having my reg torn free/ or being attacked while under water makes me so afraid. my dad has his commercial diving license and im just a recreational diver, and weve talked over how we would do it if we were out of air, and couldnt get out of the water, or would end up with the bends if we shot. we agreed on the fact that the bends are the worst way to go, but where we didnt agree is on what we would do. i would hold my breath until i passed out if given the opportunity, whereas he would suck in water. i dont think i could bring myself to suck in water because i feel like it would be extremely painful. as i write this i realise im being morbid, but honest

I kinda feel ya on that, I just got results back and xrays last week, I found out Ive been getting these terrible headaches froma neck thats been partially dislocated....for years
And as for my parents, thats nothing Im afraid of because it has to be on your mind to be scared of it. To me, the loss of my mother or father is unthinkable.

First, you have to be afraid of none of the above.

Democrats
Other than that nothing I can really think of.
(Side note I'm not a republican either, just democrats scare me.)

What scares me is neighbors close to the flying field complaining to the village about the noise.

No more talk of guns (unless its guns you're scared of, as objects), gun laws, liberals, politics, governments, or any of that.
It is quite obvious this thread is for saying what actual everyday objects/scenarios you are scared of....Spiders, heights, old women, little people, etc.
Next talk of governments or laws gets this locked.

I fear restriction by non- governmental, non-legal people.

Democrats don't scare me.....It's what they do while in office. Now don't get me wrong! I have a good friend that's a democrat......He just votes a bit contrary to my way of thinking but he's a nice guy.....
