Golden Retrievers here, got 2 of 'em. They're a bit older now (10 and 11), so they lie around a lot. Very high energy as pups though.

Love dogs, but live in an apartment [&o]. Wouldn't do that to a dog, even a small one.
Congrats, is the pug a rescue or you dropping coin for him?

Hmm, not much to post here from work, but here ya go.
First two are of our older one (a rescue) named Mollie. Easiest dog ever. Second two are of Ellie, she's more gray because she grew up with kids (aren't we all). First pic is several years old, second pic is newer.

I love the coloring on Ludo. I forget what you call that type of pattern, but a friend of mine has a dog (not a Great Dane) with that coat, and it's pretty cool.

How do you guys take care of the dogs when you are at work? Just leave them inside the house? You have to walk them everyday, though, right?!

I almost adopted a greyhound last week. They use them for racing here, and once they're a few years old or just not competitive enough they dump them in a field/shoot them. However being in the middle of moving house it isn't the best time so I bought them a few bags of dog food which should be better for them than the McDonalds fries they're getting currently.

we have a fenced in yard too. we do walk him but not every day. he gets plenty of exercise out in the yard. we do take him on hikes with us though.

Since our kids were born, my wife stays home so it's not an issue. If we have to leave them for a while, we try to limit our time away (in case of having to go to the bathroom...hey, they're old) and section them off to part of the house. They'd have free run of the house when we're gone if it wasn't for Ellie getting into things now and again (food).

RE: Going to be getting a little black baby....
here is a pic of 2 of the dogs we have.
the black, and white is around 12 years old (found her in the alley)
the 3 legged one we got from the pound, and is around 7 now. She had to have her leg amputated in January due to cancer, there were 3 choices we had 2 were basically death(put her down, or let it progress till it killed her) so we took the 3rd which cost an arm and a leg(joke intended, but seriously it was damn expensive). Good thing is they said the cancer didn't spread past the leg when they did a biopsy on it. Other than missing a leg she's damn energetic, and can still outrun any of the other dogs we got (also have a 3yo chihuahua, and 5yo wiener dog)

^ i almost rescued a catahoula, didn't work out though. great dogs!
my dane @ 11 months makes st bernards look like puppies.
not 1/2 as much drool either, mine doesn't drool much at all.
he still has about a year to go in the growing stages.
he'll probably put on 50-60 more pounds and 3-4 more inches.
the only downside i can find about my dane is he doesn't like the water.
i can't imagine life without dogs.
