    RE: The Lounge: Version 4.0

Well, soon I might actually beacquiring a REAL car. My parents are on the market for a new car. My father wants a V6 Challenger in Pea Green with the flat black racing stripes, my mom like the Ford Fiesta, the gas sipper lol. They currently have a 2006 Grand Prix witht he 3800 motor (no supercharger) with only 130k miles on it. Hope they go thru with the purchase!

So you're saying you wouldn't have gotten a ticket for doing 130? lol

They are quick stock vehicled. My buddies mom had the supercharged 3.8 grand prix. we hit 143 and it had some more, but 143 is quick lol

    RE: The Lounge: Version 4.0

My dad has a 4-door '96 grand prix w/ supercharger (GTP) the thing performs amazingly on the stock 3800 engine, but heck, the underside looks like a crashed mini van from the 80's. The thing is rusted like heck, and zip ties are everywhere. (I think that's all that's holding the front end up) Ok, maybe not that bad. But Saturday we had to replace the valve head gasket, and change out the ORIGINAL spark plugs. The gap on those spark plugs was like 1/4"! The fronts weren't to bad, but since it's so hard to change the back, I guess the previous owner just changed the front, and didn't even think about doing the back. Suckers! No wonder the thing was misfiring.
If it works, take it apart and find out why.

I think those 3.8 supercharged engine are rated at 240hps? Forgot... they are just a pulley swap away from making more, though!!

That's right. I wish my dads was supercharged. I would swap to a smaller pulley without telling him lol. For being a stock GM supercharger, those Eaton M-90's can get loud

    RE: The Lounge: Version 4.0

got an early christmas present last night, a red PS3 controller. the one that came with the system is showing it's age. the final straw was when the L2 spring broke. when ever i rest my finger on it the brakes activate when playing gt5. i hadnt realized how much wear i had put on it in the nearly 4 years i've had it. the left analog stick has about 15 degrees of play side to side, the grips have been worn smooth (there is some light texture all over the new one, the grips of the old one dont have any but some areas still have it), the r2 springe has a little less resistance and the tops of the analog sticks are a little more rounded than the new one (there is a distinct ridge). the one thing i dont like is that the plastic seems to be thinner. the lights on the controller shine through, which is quite annoying when it flashes.

I've got the same controller. Looks much nicer than the black one in my opinion. I don't play mine much, and have had it for about 2 years, so the joysticks have a little bit of the texture left. Plus I threw the black one one time over GT5, so I needed a new one lol

been there, done that. i'm surprised it lasted this long. it's been thrown, dropped, stepped on, stuck under a recliner and who knows what else and the first real failure was a spring. pretty stout.

Yea. Witht he way some thing are built today, you would think they would be brittle. Worth every penny of the $60 IMO
