I'll tell ya what though, after watching sports for a few months on a crappy TV, going back to a functioning HD screen is REALLY nice. Makes you appreciate HD all over again.

Ofna LX2e. Hands down. I still have yet to break or damage anything after beating the hell out of it on 4s.

My sources tell me it is.

Since, you know, I've owned one for a few years.

That said, I'm not jumping it off of roofs. So yeah, maybe not the best for DF.

It depends. But I am usually going off a 7ft ramp that shoots it pretty high up. I blew out a revo shock from a clean landing

But the 801 is mad cheap.

Ah, right. So you're type of bashing is a bit more extreme than mine. Do many RCs fare well under those conditions? I assume some do (since you do it), but it can't be a lot.

The Ofna's generally survive, as well as savages. Two of the guys have HB D8s with some crazy OS motor, usually a shock tower will snap, blow out a shock, or snap an arm.

Just get a used HPI Vorza and be done with it. More durable than any race kit on the market. The arms are frickin stronger than the hinge pins. Stay away from that Tamiya for what you are using.

I wasn't paying attention enough - at first I didn't realize it was DF who asked for a 1/8 buggy (thought someone else did, and he was commenting) - I also totally forgot how he jumps them.

Yeah, he needs a super-tough buggy for that. Although the 801 has been solid for me, I don't think it was made to take that kind of abuse.

Shop - I always get confused as to which HPIs are solid, and which are crap. Good to hear the Vorza is tough.

To be honest a Savage Flux XS will hold up to anything. I brought it to a BMX track and hit the high berms. Got about 30 feet of air all the time, came down perfect with no issues. But that's not the 1/8 buggy you are looking for. Ofna LX2e kit is only $200.

Not many are crap at all. I think there are a couple people on RCU who badmouth them but outside of RCU they are held in high regard. Just can't compare a budget HPI to a high end racer, etc etc.

Fair enough - and yes, I'm only speaking from heresay on RCU here. Definitely not from experience. Didn't the Trophy or Bullet line have issues though (at least the truggy)? I also read a bit in the Savage XS thread (posts by multiple owners) and it seemed like diffs were an issue there. But Cummins' XS seems to be solid for him.
