My Tmaxx came today, lol! Dirty, but works great. Some Dynamite Nitro Force and it was rolling! That stuff is magic, I swear. Needs a skid plate, but other then that, it is working good!

I've got some other thing to buy for my Maxx. Steering is extremely weak. I already took the servo out of my Axial to get more torque. Just needs more voltage now.

Agreed cummins. 4x AAs for 3 servos is insane. Tell me what pack you get.

Just ran some nitro RC for a few hours, had a blast sometimes hearing that engine scream adds to the fun factor IMO.

4 AA alkaline = ~ 6V . I run some of my 10 servo rc airplanes on 4.8V, its not about the voltage really. The only upside to getting a new pack will be that it is rechargeable, with 3 servos it won't make much of a difference otherwise (unless they are ALL 400 oz digital or something).

I spent some time driving the Maxx yesterday and getting it tuned. The steering isn't that bad since I put my Axial servo it in. Just need a rechargeable one with a little more voltage. Re-tuning this thing is a pain. My cousin had it, let it sit for a year, so now I've got to re-tune. I've got the low end ok, but after it shifts, it bogs down and wont pick up RPM. Needs a little more work. All in all, running great. Still can't believe $50. I pretty much stole it lol

My Tmaxx isn't as lucky. The low speed needle keeps falling out. Can't use Loctite. Any suggestions, guys?

And oh, sorry. Thought all cells were 1.2, lol.

If it's the threads that are screwed up, might need a new needle, carb, or both.

Do you guys think that 7.2 volts is too much for the system on the t-maxx? I've got a Losi pack I had for my Mini-T that I don't use anymore. I was going to cut the connector off, solder a deans on, ad cut the wires on the on/off switch and solder a deans on that too.

Yeah, that is too much. Most voltage most receivers can take without a step-down, is a 6v NiMH, or 6v LiFE pack.

Don't most receivers have a built in regulator to drop the voltage a bit to the servos?

At the price of a BEC, might as well get a 5 cell NiMH for $18
