Here in Houston we have a place called Rankin Road and its where all the 3AM street racing is done, I can tell you from experience (watching) some folks can drive and some cant. Ive seen the whole spektrum of craziness. Girls in Miatas beating Vettes to Toyota 4Runners Beating Mustangs you just never can tell. Although this does kinda sound like "Star in a reasonably priced car" takes on the Stig.

kinda all comes down to how much money you wana spend on the motor!
as for me a nice shot of NOS with a Procharger!!
like to see 550WHP+ and that would be plenty for me in my 540i

LOL, well my Hyundai doesn't have A/C. So no added weight from a compressor
Wait did you remove it or it didn't come with A/C?

I didn't know you can buy cars without A/C since the 80's if not earlier
only my volvo 850 T5 had working A/C however, all my cars where built with AC even the vette, but I'm pretty sure I've seen a few cars without A/C but I'm not sure what, I think a old corolla and old base saturn.

I removed the compressor from my chevy(A-6 i believe) and I'm going to remove that heavy condenser.

I was too But this Losi I've been obsessed with is a fine replacement!

ORIGINAL: Lunchboxer

I am sorry that you have to run a Traxxas..

I kid, I kid....

It's still an Accent, Jr. You could give me a brand new one and I would sell it and buy a used Benz haha Hell, my main transportation is a beat up, 170k mile Ranger 5-spd, and I would still take that over the new Accent. At least I'd still have enough torque to haul more than bread, eggs and milk. There's an idea! HEY GUIS!!!! THINK MY RANGER WILL BEAT A RAPTOR??? It has more powerz then me but yo mine is sooo much lighter!!!!lulz!!!

ORIGINAL:cumminspower5.9

I'm 22 thank you. I'm far from the teens these days that want to drop everything and turbo it. God forbid someone does something to their car though, cause if you do, you're a child. And by the way, IFI did win, doesn't matter if it was a Benz or a Bentley...it got beat by an effin Accent.

Well kudos to you for wanting to sell a brand new Hyundai given to you. Doesn't matter to me what you do with what you are given or have in your posession. Im sure a lot of people would take a free car, but you just keep saying things to try and get a rise out of me. Also, I never said I would beat the Benz just because my car was lighter, I just insisted on taking that into account. Instead of typing all of your mindless posts and just being a troll in this thread, you could have just said "No, you will lose"

Why don't you take it to the local drag strip and see what kind of time it runs??

Drag strips are always fun no matter what car you show up with. Honestly might as well take your co-worker too the more the merrier and it's very safe. Definitely recommend LB's suggestion!

When I went with my old company's quarter mile club to the strip.. one of the guy showed up and he had both the fastest and the lowest time of the day..

He showed up with a trailer home / RV and brought his Kawasaki ZX-11 in it.. he ran down the strip in the RV (yeah, LOL) in like 28 or 30 seconds (forgot), and then rip down in the ZX-11 in like 10.. hee!

I've been wanting to take the Hyundai to the drag strip for a while. We have one called Skyview Drags by me. Not sure exactly where it's at though. Everytime I mention it, the wife tells me I need to get a life lol.

Thats where the Hyundai comes in. I put $30 in today. I'll be able to go till next Friday. Ands thats driving 50 miles a day Monday-Friday. Granted it's only a 10 gallon tank, not too bad.

When you do bracket racing, you are running against your own dialed time.. so it benefits the car/driver combo that's more consistent...
Maybe you guys don't have that at UK?

Ahah...now I understand, at first I thought "what the heck..LB has lost it". Thanks for the link, I learnt something today.

It is a way for cars of different performance to "race" against each other...

Yes the Hyundai has too much body roll to race around corners. I took a wide right turn one day doing 40 mph. tires were screeching like a howling monkey, but it stayed planted with a lot of body roll lol.

Sorry my sarcasm doesn't translate over the internet well. I drive gas guzzlers and proud of it.

Actually they aren't that bad both of my cars are about 22-24 mpg mixed and about 300 hp each, and both are really heavy so am please with the results.
