Well you have to figure a 350hp V8 against a 115hp 4 cylinder. and yes i know, the weight is the difference.

The AMG 63-series (C63, E63, etc.) are 6.2L
The 55 series were running 5.4L engine
The 600 series (S600, etc.) were running 5.5L twin-turbo
The 65 series were running 6.0L twin turbo..
I think M-B does not really stick to that standard for a long time...

The key thing I was trying to point out was the trucks gearing. It is geared for hauling not HAULING!

My brothers light kia spectra could easily out accelerate my dad's mercedes benz e320. I feel scared to press the gas on my brother's pedal after a stop because it always jerks.

So you're going to agree the internet is correct over the guy who owns the car? Is that right? It's a 2 door accent, not a fleetwood. And just for giggles, a 93 civic dx 1.5L weighs 2200 lbs

In all fairness he said modern, a new Miata weighs more than 2400 now i believe. I know they are stupid light though because there isn't tons of features.

i apologize if you were offended. i don't drive such cars. i know modern cars rarely weigh much less than 3000 pounds, but they can. i'm guessing some modest 90's hyundai could weigh what you say. i did not pick up on you having a car of that vintage. i also ignorantly didn't know such cars had more than 100 hp. please accept my apology, i humbly only was asking. i am also sorry you have to drive such a car....
