Default Craigslist Steal

Haha! So I totaled my Ford Explorer this winter in the snow.. :S and bought a Pontiac 3500 which was nice but not my style. Anyways I'm always surfing craigslist because I know a lot of people that have gotten crazy good deals on there. So I'm surfing and come across this bike and just had to have it. The guy had no idea what he was talking about and knew nothing about bikes telling me he fired it up a couple months ago and yada yada. You could tell its been sitting for years so I talked the price down. 800 dollars for a pretty nice little bike. Its a Honda gl500 all I did was clean the gas tank up, cleaned the carbs and it fired up no problem. Thank goodness!! I'm going to sand everything down and repaint it and it will be a really nice bike. I was so surprised to see that it only had 19000 miles on it. So this things going to last forever!!

I think you really should put the V-Tec sticker on the gas tank. It would be hilarious.

Its a good bike. Just got done sanding down the whole thing. Going to paint it flat black. Not sure if I was another color in there.

I think the smallest goldwing is a 1000 not sure though.

So an update. Bike is purring. Doing really good. Had to take her to a shop but in the end it was worth it. The shop gave me a good scare though. They called me up saying I was going to need a whole top end rebuild because it was billowing smoke. It cleared up though so its all good. Ridings great the community out here is something else. I have yet to pass by a fellow rider without a wave or signal.
