Default Racing sites - how to get and keep?

I saw this at another site I haunt. http://www.grcc.dk/html/indvielse.htm

I thought it might be a good opener for a discussion on getting and keeping general R/C (combined car, boat, and plane) sites.

They mentioned paintball in there also but didn't see where they do that at. I feel lucky that I live in an R/C friendly city. One County Park has a flying field, another has a pond for the Scale Ship modelers and in a City park tried using an ice rink for R/C cars during the summer. In that same park I hold the annual Kalamazoo Fun Run for boaters. What those people have done is quite an accomplishment! Hopefully they run the surface vehicles at different times to avoid frequency conflicts.

I'd hope that can use 2.4GHz though I would assume people have to check in/out at the frequency boards. I also own a frequency checker myself and would definitely use it at some place like the one shown in the photos.

Very nice layouts. I'm also wondering, do they free-fall (parachute/sky dive) into the fields too? There is also the R/C Track, Flying Field, Marina & Instructor Locator: http://www.rcuniverse.com/community/...ype=instructor

Wow, old thread that got bumped! OK, while I'm in here anyway since then our club scored a lake! Yeah, the whole thing! Behind Battlefront Gaming and RC in Grandville there was a lake that we'd been wanting to get for years. It is owned by Grand Rapids Gravel but completely surrounded by private property. We finally got an to use the property but we had a lot of clean-up work to do to whip it into shape from trash to a deer carcass and brush removal. We have full rights to it including legally removing trespassers if the need arises. We also got IMPBA sanctioning for the site and having the president of the IMPBA as a member helped to get that OKed quickly.
Get a site, keep it clean and keep things orderly, two things that'll help you to keep a site once you get one.
Lastly, how friendly my county is to RCer's.
