RE: What does everyone do for a living
Im 17 and I live in the middle of nowhere so after school jobs arent really available. During the summer I work at country estate fence, building vinyl fences 5 days a week 8 hours a day. Pretty boring but the odd order is fun, plus we have CNC machines, well kind of. Next year I want to go to college for Mechanical Engineer Technician training, either that or Millwright. I my spare time I play guitar and buy wheeled toys that need a little TLC and resell them. Good hands on experience and an enjoyable way to make a buck, plus I always have something to drive.

I thought so too, no need to start a new thread when we have a perfectly fine multipage one right here. Some people have issues with the lack of posts in it during the last 3 days but not me

I work in a metal fab/machine shop. We build high tech stainless steel vacuum chambers for nuclear, semiconductor, and alternate energy research all over the world. Some of the stuff we build is so highly classified, we don't evenknow what it's for or what it does. And all this from a little company of about 40-50 employees...[8D]

I make knives at Case Cutlery. Work ten hour shifts from 3:15pm to 2:45am. Sit on my butt all night infront of a wheel with sand paper on it that spins at 1,600rpms and pretty much shape the knife then take it to the grease buff (softer wheel that spins just as fast) and that pretty much takes the scratches out of it. Right know Im still in my probation period so I'm making 9.20 an hour but after two years when I'm full rate it will be over 17 an hour . Only down side is hitting your finger off of the wheel and cutting your self which is about once or twice a night.... depends on what we are doing. The other downside is your fingers swell up every night when your sleeping and dont wanna bend the next day.
