RE: SEVERE WEATHER THREAD!!!!!!!
Hehe. We get rubbish weather here in England. no decent snow and no decent heat. Everyone's "OMG faint" when it's 37 degrees C (100F), lol, and I'm like "Yeah, and in 3 weeks I'm going to Spain. I'm leaving my Jacket on, ty very much" (That 1 week before school goes out for summer )
And then I never overheat in spain because I go and swim from 8am to lunch, have lunch, and watch a film or 2 until 4 ish, and go back in the pool (this time I'll r/c instead of swim, no pool this summer , we can't leave the budgie in the apartment, plus, it's a awste of the aircon)

RE: SEVERE WEATHER THREAD!!!!!!!
Well that's what you get for living in Fairbanks. I understand you guys get your fair share of heat up there too.
Here in the Midwest, particularly in St. Louis, we have had days where the air temperature was around 105 and the humidity was around 95%. Then we get someting called "Heat Index," where the weather man tells you it feels like 120+ degrees F. The problem is with the air being saturated with water, is you sweat, but don't cool off. People die here from heat exhaustion even sitting inside. We gotta watch out for the older folks around here because of that. It makes going to the airfield miserable. Couple all that heat and humidity with the scorching sun and UGH. I'll stay inside where the air conditioner works.

RE: SEVERE WEATHER THREAD!!!!!!!
Let's see, it rains here during the winter, it snows here once every 15-20 years, and occasionally we have an earthquake. I'm waiting for the entire San Andreas fault to slip and for this part of California to become an island. The earthquake "experts" said we are going to have another "big one" (like the 1905 San Fransisco earthquake/fire) within the next three minutes to 30 years. So I guess I have nothing really to complain about. Oh, it gets below freezing in the winter, and to around 110-120 during the summer.
