TamiyaUSA has free shipping for over $50 this weekend..

If you need some high quality tool, I suggest you pick some up.. they got some on sales.. I got to tell ya, them screwdrivers are VERY nice.. (made in Japan, very high quality..) You won't strip the screw head with these..

[X(] I might need you to help me order some stuff this weekend then....
LOL, Eric, they are ALL made in Japan. Just get the Ti set from Integy and for the price of one Tamiya tool you can get the whole set from Integy.

I used to have some Tamiya tools, lets just say they should stick to model making.

I used to have some Tamiya tools, lets just say they should stick to model making.
I've used AE, LOSI, duratrax, Thorp and TM sets so far. Here's a break down

AE - Pros: Light weight, color coded.
Cons: Hexhead started to wear after a while, the grip is a tad steep so you may get blisters if you use a large amount of force.

LOSI - Pros: Great heads/sockets, unbreakable.
Cons: A bit short, The handle is large and can be hard to grip.

Thorp: Pros: Comfy grip, great heads
Cons: Not coded. You have to send it back for regrind if you need replacement heads.

Duratrax: Ive only used their philips heads. Good handle but the heads don't seem to fit well. Very disappointing.

TM: I have the H.A.R.D Carbon set. They also have a conventional grip set.

Pros: Light weight, Size coded, insane hardness on the heads (made swiss cheese of T6 aluminum.) The grip makes it so that you can't overtighten screws
Cons: The size coded and grip is a great idea if you build and disassemble with this set. But over tightened screws can be a pain to get out with this grip.

As far as Tamiya ones go I have the micro hammer and 2 non scratch pliers and they've served me well. The drivers comes in TRF and regular editions. I have yet to try them.

The Integy sets seem to be inconsistent. Some guys have great success with them, others break them in 2 days. Maybe the batches vary in quality.

I have two sets of the Integy Ti drivers, I broke one .05 tip over tightening a hardened grub screw.

The grips prevent you from over tightening, so I use a set of T handled wrenches to tighten or break loose screws.

What I like about the Integy set is that you have six of the most used hex sizes used in RC.

I was doing a lot of 2 wheel driving with my savage this evening, and eventually one tire exploded, it was pretty funny.

Couple of bodies on the way courtesy of TamiyaUSA's free shipping, and LB helping with the order!

I like Mobile and Castrol paint schemes a lot.

Another, trust me I am not using that paint scheme!

The main body is red but there is also chrome, black and orange in there (body trim, floor boards, turn signals).

Still looks real easy, send it over if you want. Maybe pay for paint? That's what I have been telling my local friends buy me a bottle of paint and Ill do it for nothing else, win win as I get that color to add to my collection also.

Oh I got dominated by the mods last night, too many deleted posts.

hey guys I need some help
went to place my tower order and they want nearly $40 for Priority/Air Parcel Post and $75 for UPS Worldwide Saver.
I tried calling and doing the order over the phone as I was quoted 23.99 for shipping when the items were in the shopping cart.
Anyone here have coupons for super saver members or anything that can be used with another coupon code.
Basically any way to lower the $40 shipping, (she also said it takes 2-4 weeks on average, have you found that SecretSG?

Man I HATE my Warhead EVO! Now that I have spent all the money, and time to get the new center CVs in, and the new spur (the steel one), and the new diff, and the new wheel CVs, the Tranny blowes up!!! I hate this thing, I HATE it, I HATE it, I HATE it!! I feel like jumping up and down on it, then throwing it in a bond fire!

$40? That's strange since it is flat rate. Anything over $150 with super saver is $15 to Canada for me. And yes shipping is 10days to 4 weeks with USPS. Stuff like Tx/Rx and batteries I find takes 3-4weeks.

If you wait until June, there will be some better coupon codes. Tower seems to make one month really good and the next month save $20 on $1000 [&o]
