I knew you meant XP when you said Movie Maker, the most useless piece of software to go along with the other useless Microsoft software.

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....=1174092130992

its on sale for 20.00 go figure, the learning curve was kinda steep if your not fimilar with video editing

Here is a video I made a long time ago using the windows XP movie maker

well heres the deal, my brother leads the drama class at our church, and he dose the editing on my laptop, and we play the video on the big screen at our church, and movie maker sizes the videos down way, way too much to be shown on the big screen, so it looks like trash. but I've got it on the highest setting (I think is 640x480, and it needs to be about 1020x800 or what ever it is) it needs to be bigger.

and, I don't have any money to spend on one, and my brother is kinda a cheap person, since he hasn't got paid in a while, thats why I want a free one. (but I guess you get what you pay for)

yeah, it looks fine on the tv (which I think are tv is 1020x800) the video is only bad when we use WMM (Windows Movie Maker) to capture it to my hard drive, and then when we edit it it sizes it down again. on the tv (which is a 36" or 38") it looks great, just not after its captured or edited.

the camera is a JVC mini DV (don't know anything else on it, but I could get a model number or something)

hmm so it should record in a good resolution

You just need something better to capture it in... how are you connecting to your computer?

movie maker should be able to capture what it sees.. i'm gonna mess with it again its been awhile.

When I was in Canada, I used to avoid that place like the plauge.!

I bought an iPod from them, and when it died, they blamed me for it.!?

It was the norm, the sad face.

After that ive avoided them and circuit city.

Movie Maker pretty much downsizes the files; my camera will record a pretty decent video that is crystal clear on my TV or computer, but once I capture it with movie maker it makes the images sketchy and blurry...

you could try limewire, i just get a little parinoid these days, because a few years ago I was using utorrent to download a season of battlestar galactica, which i did. Then I get this package from my ISP saying I was found downloading video illegally and if i didn't stop they would be forced to give my Idenity away for prosecution. I about **** myself, so I try to stay clear of some of those questionable downloads, just spend the 30 bucks and buy one 30 bucks isn't worth years in jail,

Final Cut Pro HD! Jk, I honestly don't think you will find any good video editing software apart from the awesome bundled software that comes with Macs, that is cheap or free.
