Raise your hand if you've had problems with your xbox 360
Like the title says. I want to see how many people here have had issues of any type with there 360. I can get it for my birthday along with xbox live but I don't know about it since I keep hearing of this "red ring of death".

I haven't played my 360 in a couple of months. I don't have any good games for it so I just don't play it.

i had a problem with mine within the first 24 hours of owning it but i just returned it and got another one.

I've got 2 dead ones. Yay! 
RROD has been fixed on elites. It can still happen, but is not so epidemic as it was. All Xbox360s have a 3 year warranty now, as a result of this problem.

Well, I have never had a problem with mine. CPR this is Wipe Out. 
How do I know if I got the newer gen? I'm pretty sure I did, but I'm not 100% sure.

A triend of mine has just had his returned for the third time after repair. What I can't understand is why don't they just replace it with a new one (he noted the serial number and has recieved the same one back every time) ?

I have had two xbox 360's. The first one had a Red Ring of Death within 24 hours of getting it. I returned it for a new one. The second one scratched several games to the point of being unplayable, even when I had it completely stable. It then, later, showed no picture on my TV screen. I called Microsoft to see what was up and just over the phone, they figured it was just like a red ring of death, but the red ring of death indicator was also broken. Now, this was a few years ago, but if I were to do it all over again, I would stay away from the 360. Just my $.02. =)

If you get one with a faclon mobo then you won't have any problems. They are coming out with a 65nm GPU and GPU mobo soon so go the the microsoft forums and learn more about that.
